1 review for 505 CHEATER

  1. This is my experience from the Wildwood Extreme Enduro 2016.
Saturday was spent mainly walking Prologue and main loop. Hard packed dirt, rocks, logs and more rocks was the main surface. Having used the Shinko Cheater previously i was confident i had made the right choice. Using an M14 spec, Michelin mousse the tyre had a feel of about 10psi. I was entered in the Expert over 35s class and finished the main event in 3rd place . All three podium finishers were all mounted on Beta Motorcycles. Of the 100 (capped at that) starters I managed to cross the line in 18th outright which pleased me as it was my first attempt at an Extreme Enduro. The Shinko Cheater worked awesome on the mainly rocky terrain. Its ability to find traction on the steep dirt climbs was also amazing and predictable. During the later stages of a race when it is normal to notice a small loss of grip as the leading edges begin to round off with normal tyres. The Shinkos compound however ensures the tyre still remains hooked up well, even when rounded off and worn down a bit.
I would gladly use the Shinko Cheater again for this type of event, and general all round single track and tough enduro competitions.

    Regards Matt Woodhouse
